Lois R. Hewitt Anderson, 101, of Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Communities at Indian Haven.

She was born on May 18, 1922, in West Lebanon, a daughter of the late John C. and Rescie E. (McCurdy) Smith.

Lois was a faithful member of Greystone Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Leonard R. Hewitt, of Washington State; a son-in-law, Martin Brodrick, of Indiana; a step-daughter, Carolyn Cook, of Indiana; a step-son, David E. (Jenny) Anderson, of Clarksburg; a step-granddaughter, Lynnette (Mark) Borbonus, of Clarksburg; step-great-granddaughters, Maura-Reese and Kaylynn Borbonus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur W. Hewitt on March 28, 1951; her second husband, W. Theodore Anderson on December 7, 1988; her daughter, Patricia Brodrick on October 15, 2023; her grandsons, Craig Alan and Douglas Lee Brodrick on September 20, 1997; her sisters, Florence K. Smith-Taylor and Mary E. Smith-Ritenour; and her brother, Edward W. Smith.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am, in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, 500 Ben Franklin Road S, Indiana. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lois' honor may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
