Leonard Albert Walizer, 72 of Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Bethany Place Residential Care, Indiana. Leonard was born on October 18, 1949 in Lewes, Sussex County, Delaware to the late Albert and Elizabeth Ruth (Davies) Walizer. Leonard served our country for 25 years in the United States Army, obtaining the rank of E7. He served for two years in Vietnam during the Vietnam War and during his long tenure was stationed around the world in many places including Germany, Japan, Hawaii, New Zealand and Korea. Surviving Leonard are his children, Charles (Elizabeth) Walizer of Indiana and Erika Griffin of West Virginia; grandchildren Austin Charles Walizer, Chris "Colrissa" Reed, and Ayla Griffin. Also surviving are his three sisters Patty Strib of Georgia, Stevie Michel of Colorado, and Peggy Quigley of Florida. In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Marylin Vivian (Flanagan) Walizer. At Leonard's request all services are private and have been entrusted to the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
