Leon J. Hue, age 96, of Indiana, who was a resident at St. Andrew's Village, died Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born in 1921 in Tarentum to John B. and Florida Arcq Hue.

Leon was a professor of Biology at IUP for many years.

He is survived by one son and one daughter - Dr. Kenneth Hue and his wife Deborah, Greensburg; Kathy Mott and husband John, Barre, VT; four grandchildren - Ryan Hue, PhD, Akron, OH; Jonathan Hue, MD, and fiancé Janel Paukovits, MD, University Height, OH; Kaitlin Mott White, PharmD, and husband Tom, Barre, VT; Krista McNamara and husband Chris, Barre, VT; one great granddaughter, Kelsy McNamara.

He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Post Hue.

Funeral services will be private and will be held at the Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lower Burrell. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
