Kathryn Irene (Moore) Shields, age 94 of Indiana, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

She was born in 1922 in Lockhart, SC to Clarence C. and Bertha E. Allen Moore.

Kathryn was a resident of Marion Center from 1950 until moving to Indiana in 2001.

She was a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also an avid college basketball fan.

Surviving is her daughter Patty Morris and husband Tom, Indiana; five grandchildren, Camille Morris-Sherry and husband Paul, Shawn Morris and wife Katie, Amy Rhoades-Byrne and husband Mike, Becky Shields, Heather Shields; one great granddaughter, Jaina Morris; and one niece and one nephew, Terry and Buddy Kite.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Barton O. Shields in 2003, two sons, Michael and Jimmy Shields, her grandsons Brian and Chad Shields, her brother Robert Wade Moore, and her sister Helen Kite.

A private visitation and funeral service was held at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
