Obituary

Kathryn Wiggins Reeger, age 79, of Shelocta, passed away on Friday September 20, 2013 at her home. She was born in 1933 in Armstrong Twp., to William Pearl and Margretta Warner Wiggins. Mrs. Reeger was a member of the Church of Christ, Indiana. She was a 1951 graduate of the Indiana High School, and a 1954 graduate of the Indiana Hospital School of Nursing. Kathryn was employed as a Registered Nurse and was also employed as a bus driver for Indiana School District for 16 years. Additionally, Mrs. Reeger was a loving and caring homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Kathryn is survived by four daughters and one son, Janet Hines, New Orleans, LA; Barbara Byerly and husband Richard, Indiana; Cindy Reyba and husband Stephen, Indiana; Mary Masterson and husband Chris, Shelocta; William Reeger and wife Teresa, Shelocta; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister Doris Sweeting, Shelby, NC; She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Norman Reeger in 2003, and by two brothers and two sisters, Charles and James Wiggins, Peggy Asmus, and Gladys Anderson. Friends will be received on Sunday from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 A.M. with her grandson Richard Hines officiating. Interment will be made in the Union Cemetery, Armstrong Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Mi Esperanza, c/o Janet Reeger Hines; or to the 4-H Club of Indiana County; or to the VNA.Hospice of Indiana.
