Karl G. Munz, Jr., age 78, of Indiana died on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Indiana.

He was born in 1939 in New York, NY to Karl G. and Lillian (McAliece) Munz.

Karl was a member of St. Thomas More University Parish, Indiana.

A veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, he served in the US Air Force as a Communication Specialist.

Following his military service he was employed as an electronic technician in the oil and gas field. Most recently, he worked as a boiler inspector for DTS.

Karl was known as a handyman by his neighbors and friends. He never met a stranger.

He is survived by one son and two daughters - Glenn T. Munz, Indiana; Patricia A. Wade and husband Daniel, Masontown; Michele M. Brown and husband Julius, Elizabeth; four grandchildren - Samantha, Heather, Hayley, and Devon; two great grandchildren - Triston and Harper; two brothers - Paul Munz and wife Lisa, CA; Frank Munz, Germantown, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Hilda Emmi Munz in 2013.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More University Parish, 1200 Oakland Ave., Indiana, PA 15701.
