Justin D. McCoy, age 30, of Shelocta, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in 1987 in Falls Church, VA to Larry and Donna Ficik McCoy.

He was self-employed as the owner of a used car dealership, "McCoy's Motorsport," specializing in Audi and Mitsubishi sports cars.

Additionally, he was employed for a short time as an armed security guard for DOD and continued to maintain his security credentials.

Justin was a 2005 graduate of Annandale High School, Annandale, VA, where he participated in football and wrestling. He was also a 2010 graduate of IUP with a degree in Criminology and a minor in Safety Science.

Justin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV riding, and working on the family farm.

He is survived by his parents of Shelocta; one brother, Luke McCoy, Oakdale, PA; paternal grandmother, Marie McCoy, Indiana; his girlfriend, Kristy Marie Bendis, Creekside; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold McCoy, maternal grandparents, John and Betty Ficik, two cousins, Jacob McCoy and Raven Gileau.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where funeral service will be immediately following at 5:00 p.m. with the Rev. William and Linda Blacksmith officiating. After the service, friends and family are invited to gather for food and refreshments in celebration of Justin's life at the Shelocta Sportsman Club on Sportsman Club Road in Shelocta.
