June E. Jones' Obituary

June E. Jones, age 89, of Indiana, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Communities of Indian Haven. She was born in 1929, in Indiana Co. to David and Claire Moore Ruddock. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, the Homemakers Club, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. June was very skilled in knitting, crocheting, and various needle work, and other crafts. She was a homemaker, and had also worked at The Dairy Treat for many years, and in her youth had worked at McCrory's. June is survived by one daughter and one son, Candis C. Byers and husband Bert, Indiana; Mark R. Jones and wife Patricia, Home; four granddaughters, Kimberly Forrester and husband Scott, Indiana; Michelle Henry and husband William, Knox; Heidi DiSaia and husband Joseph, McDonald; Laura Shaffer and husband Dr. James Shaffer, Punxsutawney; seven great granddaughters, Kelly and Kristen Forrester, Paige and Abbey Henry, Amy and Katie Shaffer, Lisa DiSaia; one sister Mary Lois Litzinger, Indiana; two special nieces, LuAnn Eckman and Patty Ganley, and two special nephews, John and Robert Ganley. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband F. Richard Jones in 1993, by three brothers and two sisters, David, Edwin, and William Ruddock, Viola Brown and Betty Lou Ganley. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. David Hanna officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospsice, 850 Hospital Rd., Suite 3000, Indiana, PO 15701.
