Judy Smith-Gingras passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, surrounded by her family.

Judy was born in 1945 in San Francisco, CA, to Donald and Charlot (Rader) Smith.

Judy settled in Columbia, Maryland where she retired from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in 2011. After her retirement, she moved to Lewes, Delaware to be closer to the ocean.

She is survived by her loving daughters - Sarah Lakosky and Carrie Gingras; two grandsons - Ethan and Ari Fish; sisters - Kristi Altrogge, Robin Hope and Susan Smith, and her beloved dog, Jake.

Judy brought light into the lives of everyone who was blessed to know her. Her infectious smile, warm laugh, and love for her family, friends and animals will never be forgotten.

Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of the United States or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
