Joyce E. Filler's Obituary

Joyce Elaine (Lightner, Sheesley) Filler formerly of Indiana, PA and currently residing at The Woods of Cedar Run in Camp Hill, PA, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. She was born on in 1926 in Dixonville, PA and was the daughter of Floyd and Grace (Lydick) Lightner. She graduated from Commodore High School in 1944 and married H. Wayne Sheesley on April 30, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1984. She married James B. Filler on March 14, 1992. He also preceded her in death on October 28, 1997. Joyce had four brothers - Dorse, Leon, Day (all deceased) and Joseph residing in California. She had two sisters - Larue Shaffer (deceased) and Avanell Boucher of Warren, OH. Surviving are her two daughters - Dona J. (Sheesley) Campos and Mona J. (Sheesley) Johnson and her husband, Bill of Mechanicsburg, PA. She also had three stepsons - James Filler and his wife, Nancy, Thomas Filler and his wife, Bernice and William Filler and his companion, Linda Toy all residing in Indiana, PA. Her grandchildren are John C. Campos and his wife, Kathy and their children, Josephine and Brady of Riverside, CT.; Beth A. (Campos) Polansky and her husband, Mark of Leesburg, VA.; Danielle J. (Johnson) Bingaman and her husband, Jay and their children, Lauren and Morgan of Enola, PA, Melissa L .Campos also residing in Enola, PA and William T. Johnson II (deceased). Her step grandchildren are Debbie, David, Autumn and Kathy (deceased). Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bowser Minich Funeral Home of Indiana, PA. A public viewing will be held on February 26, 2015, from 1 to 3pm. Burial will be immediately following at Oakland Cemetery in Indiana, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation or the Indiana County Community Action Program.
