Joseph Napoleon Tourtellotte's Obituary

Joseph Napoleon Tourtellotte (New Florence), a proud combat-wounded Vietnam veteran, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 75. A recipient of the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Commendation Medal, Joseph served his country with courage and honor.

Beyond his military service, Joseph was a loving and kind-hearted man, a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a gentle soul who touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a quiet strength and a generous spirit that made everyone feel welcome in his presence.

He is deeply missed by his daughters, Sarah Evanick (Homer City) and Megan Tourtellotte (Indiana) who will carry forward his legacy of compassion and kindness in their own lives. They hope to honor his memory by continuing the good he brought into the world.

In remembering Joseph, we are reminded to take care of the older veterans among us, to thank them, support them, and never forget their sacrifices.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Indiana County Humane Society (https://incohumanesociety.com/) or to K9 for Warriors https://donate.k9sforwarriors.org/site/Donation), two organizations close to Joseph's heart.
