Joseph F. Marcoline, age 100, of Indiana, died Sunday April 28, 2019, at his home.

He was born in 1918 in Sagamore to Gioacchino and Rosina Dalessio Marcoline.

Joe was a member and usher at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #1481, and a life member of the BPOElks Lodge. He was also active in the United Way.

He was employed as a coal miner for many years followed by employment by Robert Shaw Controls. Prior to and following his earlier career, Joe and his brother Paul started several small businesses. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He had a stoic approach to life, a wonderful work ethic, and shared these qualities with many.

Surviving are two sons - Dr. Joseph F. Marcoline and wife Mary Beth Marcoline, Indiana; Robert Marcoline, Indiana; four granddaughters - Shelly Droz and husband Brian, Cranberry Twp; Alicia Marcoline and husband Jon, Mars; Amy Marcoline, Indiana; Marie Marcoline, Indiana; five great grandchildren - Christian Droz, Lilly Droz, Sophia Droz; Jack Marcoline and Joey Marcoline; one sister Irma Scardina, Indiana; his companion Dorothy "Dutch" Gordon, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie Josephine Bordogna Marcoline in 1987, one son Paul J. Marcoline in 1993, an infant son Frederick and three brothers, Peter, Paul and Phillip Marcoline.

There will be no public viewing. Friends and family are invited to attend the celebration of a funeral mass on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 11 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. Interment will be made in St. Bernard Cemetery.
