Joseph Robert Filipovich, age 81 of Indiana, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Communities of Indian Haven.

He was born in 1939 in Punxsutawney to Joseph and Pauline Kutoloski Filipovich.

Joe was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana.

A veteran of the Korean War he served in the US Army as a Military Police.

He was employed by Rob Shoe Store Indiana, at FMC Syntron in Homer City, and as a Supply Clerk for R&P Coal Co.  at Keystone Mine before retirement.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Janice M. (Pounds) Filipovich, Indiana; one sister-in-law Jean Filipovich, Creekside; and several nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Donald, William and Joseph Filipovich, and one sister Helen Maruk.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Bernard Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held in the future. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana,  is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
