Obituary

John J. George, age 81, peacefully passed away on March 5, 2013 in his home, in the loving arms of his wife. John was born 1931 in Indiana, to John J. and Jane Bonacci George After graduation from Indiana High School, he attended the University of Pittsburgh. Following honorable service in the US Army, he began his career working for Commercial Credit Corp. From there he advanced to management with Westinghouse Credit Corp. John had illustrious entrepreneurial endeavors including the coal industry, heavy equipment leasing business, bar and restaurant operations, and culminated his long successful work career with ownership and management of JMG Enterprises Inc. His interests were wide and varied; aviation, music, Italian cuisine, travel, and especially his cherished farm. John is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn Mytrysak George; his children, Alicia, Debbie, Mike, (Sheri), and Beverly; his grandchildren, Corey, (Amanda), Jack, Dylan, and JT, his great grandchildren, Marcus, Ava, Jayden, and Shea; his sister, Mary Jane Miller; sister-in-law and brother-in law, Nancy and Time Hanahan; brother-in-law, Joseph Mytrysak; and brother-in-law, David Allen; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and sisters, Frances George, Betty George, and Virginia Allen. In keeping with his wishes, a Celebration of John's Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to Community Nursing and Home Health, Inc., 2447 Bedford St., Suite 101, Johnstown, PA 15904. John's unique spirit will live on in all those lives he touched.
