Joan M. Lukehart, age 80 of Indiana, died Monday, July 6, 2020 at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home.

She was born in 1939 in Dixonville to Luellon and Hope Lemmon Howells.

Mrs. Lukehart was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Homer City.

Besides raising and caring for her family, she was employed at Valley National Bank, First Seneca Bank, all in Kittanning for 21 years before her retirement.

She loved flower gardening, painting, traveling, spending time with family and quilting.

Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles R. Lukehart, Indiana; two daughters, Valerie Lukehart Henkel, Harrisburg; Lorie Lukehart, Brookville; three siblings, William Howells and wife Ethelyn, Marion Center; Dora Greene and husband John, Dixonville; Richard Howells and wife Helen, VA; five grandchildren, Alison Judge and husband Gordon; Justin and Lucas Henkel, Christopher and Nicholas Gursky; two great-grandsons, George and Charley Judge.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steve Bond officiating. Interment will be made in the New Life Lutheran Cemetery, Marion Center.
