Joan (Zoldak) Lazor, age 90 of Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at The Fountains at Indiana.
She was born in 1928 in Homer City the daughter of John Constantin Zoldak and Pauline Yendrehovski Zoldak.
Joan was an active member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church serving in the Catholic Daughters of America Court #339, CCD teacher and Eucharistic Minister. She was also an active member of her community, Evergreen Garden Club, the VFW Auxiliary Post #1989, Toys for Tots, the Art Association, and other community activities.
Joan was a homemaker, an accomplished artist, a published poet and author, bird watching, a seamstress, and a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Joan was an avid gardener and reader. She enjoyed entertaining, antiquing and crafts.
She is survived by four daughters - Diana Kabo and husband Ronald, Johnstown; Alice Blyzwick and husband Edward, Mercer; Lorry Lentz, Indiana; Annette Cusimano and husband Gregory, Homer City; ten grandchildren - Jennifer Kabo McIntosh and husband Matthew; Jason Kabo and wife Sheri; Christopher Kabo; Brad Blyzwick and wife Cara; Jaclyn Blyzwick Gratkie; Derek Blyzwick and wife Jolene; James Lentz, II and wife Jennifer; Michael Cusimano; Eric Cusimano and wife Leah; Logan Cusimano. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John E. Lazor in 2016, and by the following siblings - George Zoldak, Mary Hibel, Andrew Zoldak, Joseph Zoldak, John Zoldak, Pauline Yakulis, Frank Zoldak, Stephen Zoldak., and Anna Zoldak
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be made in the St. Bernard Mausoleum.
