Joan Gelormino's Obituary

Joan Gelormino, 76, of Patton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Indiana with her family at her side. She was affectionately known to family and friends as "Mammie," and "Momzie" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born in 1938 to Haden and Beulah (Barbour) Williams in Strongstown. Joan was a member of Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Patton. She was an avid NASCAR/Dale, Jr. fan, and especially enjoyed attending the races. Her favorite tracks were Martinsville, Daytona and Charlotte. She loved being at the River camp boating with her family and friends. Joan also enjoyed riding on the Harley Davidson with her husband, Mike. She is survived by her husband of 55 years - Michael Gelormino, Patton; two daughters - Michelle J. Gelormino, Patton; Valeri Lazor and husband Keith, Indiana; a son - LT. Michael C. Gelormino II and wife Jeanne, Chester, MD. Grandchildren include Brandi Jo (Watt) Stover, husband Ryan; Gino Gelormino, wife Ashley; Kacie and Logan Lazor; Tyler Shrader; and Julianna Gelormino. Great-grandchildren include Arianna Gelormino and Michael Stover. She is also survived by a sister - Brenda Williams-Denzer and husband Karl; a brother - Tim Williams and wife Dar and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter - Vicky Gelormino; her brothers - John and Dock Williams; a sister - Janice Williams; and her parents. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home in Indiana and also on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Stevens Funeral Home in Patton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Patton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Patton.
