Obituary

Jeffrey L. Moretti, age 50, of Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 11, 2013 in Indiana after a long struggle with Asthma and Diabetes. He was born in 1962 in Bartow, FL to Ronald R. Moretti and Patricia Peach Moretti Pangonis. After graduating from Indiana Area School, he served in the United States Army and was currently a member of the VFW Post #1989. Jeff was employed at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for 24 years prior to his retirement in 2008. He was an avid outdoorsman who had a great appreciation for nature and wildlife. His favorite pastime was communing with nature, fishing and pursuing the perfect buck. Jeff was a devoted son, and loving brother who placed a great deal of value on family. He adored his great aunts and uncles and was known for his impromptu visits to share family stories, bounties from his garden, and to collect heirloom recipes. He is survived by his mother, Patricia J. Pangonis and husband Charles (Kuz), Indiana; one sister and one brother, Amy Lynn Moretti, who resides in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia with her husband Roger Rozario; Ronald R., Jr. and wife Cookie, Indiana; his three nieces, Alexandria, Alyssa, and Erica Moretti; his three step-sisters, Jeannne Flitsky, Cranberry; Tressa Wright, Indiana; Katrina Johnson and husband Mike, Cranberry; four step-brothers, Dr. Michael Pangonis and wife Nikki, Ellwood City; Mark Pangonis and wife Tara, Indiana; Matthew Pangonis and wife Heather, Valencia; and Edward Pangonis and wife Sara, Moon Twp.; and his beloved cousin Lawrence (Larry) Moretti, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his much-loved father Ronald R. Moretti, Sr., his Nana and Poppy, Annabelle and Winfield Scott Harriger, Reynoldsville, his grandfathers Louis Peach and RaymondMoretti, and grandmother Amelia Moretti, Indiana. Friends will be received on Sunday February 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM. with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel officiating. Private interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery where Jeff will be laid to rest beside his adoring grandfather Louis Peach.
