Jean Mae (Sumner) Conner, 91, of Indiana, formerly of Ellwood City, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in her home. She was born in Ellwood City on March 5, 1934, to the late Lawrence and Grace (Hamill) Sumner.

Jean graduated from IUP and spent over 25 years teaching for the Ellwood City School District. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, making quilts, and elderberry jam every August before school started. Jean was a member of the Christ Presbyterian Church of Elwood City.

Surviving Jean is her husband of 70 years Ralph Holt Conner, sons Brian (Lisa) Conner of Littleton, CO, Doug Conner of Ellwood City, and Matthew (Kayla) Conner, of Indiana, as well as seven grandchildren.

Friends will be received by the family on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM, in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
