Jay R. Ling

Jay Richard Ling, 87, of Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, in Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.

He was born on March 31, 1939, in Ernest, to the late Charles and Verna (Clawson) Ling. After graduating from Indiana High School, Jay served our country in the United States Army. Upon his discharge, Jay was an insurance agent for American General, obtaining many awards throughout his career and achieved Agent of the Year Award in 1990.

In his free time, Jay enjoyed fishing, hunting, antiquing, traveling and spending time at his cottage with his late wife Carole.

Jay is survived by his two nephews, Terry (Stacy) Domino and Wayne (Ruby) Ling, Jr., as well as two very close friends Michael (JoAnn) McLay, and Joseph (Jodi) Krahe.

In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his wife Carole (Calabria) Ling, a son Daniel Ling, a brother Wayne Ling, Sr., and a sister Twila Domino and husband, Walter.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the Donahue Tylinski Funeral Home from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Pastor Stephanie Backus officiating. Burial will be private in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
