Jason William Drew, 30, Shelocta, died Sunday, February 24, in an accident. The son of Kenneth C. Drew Jr. and Patricia Gonda Drew, Jason was born 1982, in Latrobe. Jason was a fun-loving, hardworking, devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, brother-in-law, and son-in-law who will be profoundly missed by the Drew, Gonda, Byerly, and Reeger families, as well as their many extended relatives and friends. A 2001 graduate of Indiana High School, Jason was a technician at See World Satellites and also worked with his wife's uncle, Bill Reeger, on the Reeger family farm. He was also a skilled mechanic and technician, and was always willing to help anyone who would ask. His smile could light up a room. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his family's camp, and his time at the family farm. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Chelsea Byerly Drew, and their three sons, Carter, age 5, Elliot, age 3, and Sawyer, age 14 months, all at home. He is further survived by his mother, Patty Drew, and partner Nick Bernat, Indiana; his father, K.C. Drew, and partner Sue Fabin and her children Kyle and Brittany, Shelocta; and two brothers, Kenny Drew, wife Maria, and their children Max and Alexa, Shelocta; Michael Drew, wife Chloe and their daughter Madelyn, Indiana; his maternal grandfather, William Gonda and wife Patricia Shandick Gonda, Homer City; his father- and mother-in-law, Rick and Barb Byerly, Indiana; his brother-in-law, Matt Byerly, Indiana; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth Drew, Sr. and Patricia Drew, and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Gonda. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 A.M. with Richard Hines officiating. Interment will be made in the Union Cemetery, Shelocta.
