James L. Turnbull's Obituary

James L. Turnbull, 79, of Indiana, was called home to be with his heavenly Father on December 10, 2014 . The son of the late Mae (Miller) and Henry Turnbull; He was born in 1935 in Waterman, PA. After graduating in 1954 from Elders Ridge High School he was employed by Indiana Wholesale for 30 years and was owner of Jim's Camper Sales. He was then employed by IUP before his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed camping, hunting and spending time with his family. He was known for his humor, kind heart and selfless nature. He had an encouraging smile for all those he met. He attended Calvary Evangelical Free Church for 60 years. He is survived by and deeply missed by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Joyce (Rougeaux) Turnbull, Indiana; a daughter Carol J. Williams, Indiana; and sons, Ricky L. Turnbull, Indiana; and Ronald J. Turnbull and wife Kathy (Peterman) Turnbull, Aultman. He was adored and known as "Pap" by his grandchildren, Erica L. Turnbull, Jonathan and Megan Rudyk, Joel Pease and fiancee Roxanne Lanning, James and Melissa Pease, Andy and Jinette Turnbull, Matt and Mandy Turnbull, Steve and Amber Turnbull, step-grandchildren Cory and Sue Williams and Cara and Aaron Salotti, and 13 great grandchildren. His brothers and sisters include, Irene Thomas, Betty Long, Robert, Kenneth and William Turnbull. He was preceded in death by his sister Frances Zelensky, brother Russell Turnbull, Son-in law Curtis Williams and two great grandchildren. He will be so greatly missed by all who love him. Friends will be received on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 1:30 PM at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church, Indiana. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
