Obituary

James A. (Jim) Rudd, 76, of Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1935 to Harry R. and Ruth (Weber) Rudd in Alliance, OH. Jim retired from Penelec in 1989 and was employed with Diamond Drug as a medical supply delivery representative. His humor, wit and dedication to family will be his legacy for many years to come. Jim, an avid Steelers and Penguins fan, even still watched the Pirates. Jim was an enthusiastic golfer and his proudest moment was when he won 1st Place at the "Annual Rudd Men's Golf Tournament." Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his seven grandsons and three great grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Doris D. Rudd, Indiana; three sons, David and wife Lisa, Alexandria, VA; Jeff, Home; Gary and wife Jennifer, Lucerne Mines; seven grandsons, Brian and wife Sarah, Michael, Matthew, OH; Austin, Collin, Ben, Home; Patrick, Lucerne Mines; three great grandchildren, Brian Jr., Hayden, and Kailyn, OH; two brothers, Jerry and wife Sally and Bob and wife Debbie, both from Erie. Numerous neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation is Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home and also on Thursday from 11-1 PM where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Richard L. Cassel officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Indiana County VNA/Hospice, 800 Hospital Drive, Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.
