Obituary

James C. Morgan, age 76, of McIntyre, passed away February 26, 2014 at Indiana Regional Medical. He was born in 1937 in McIntyre, to Ben "Patsy" and Josephine Piertro Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, the American Legion, Saltsburg, where he was a member of the American Legion Honor Guard. Additionally he was a member of the Indiana County Water Authority where he served as Treasurer, and a member of the McIntryre Volunteer Fire Co. A peace-time veteran he served in the US Army and Army Reserves. Jim enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt, fish, and golf. He could be found working in his garden, of which he was very proud. He loved to cook was often the chef for many social functions. He enjoyed the company of his many friends and family. He is survived by his former wife, Dolores Morgan, Homer City; his brother Benjamin Morgan, Clarksburg; his sister Elsie Morgan, Homer City; his sister-in-law Louise Morgan, Indiana; and by several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his son Dr. Christopher Morgan, by his brothers Nicolas, Elmer, William, and Joseph Morgan, and by his sisters Louise Sebrowski, Victoria Castellani, and Teresa Stuler. A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends by the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home.
