James C. "Jim" Miller, 86, of Clymer, passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 17, 2023.

Born in Indiana, on May 22, 1937, to the late Donald C. and Madeline (Coyle) Miller, he was a graduate of Indiana High School, class of 1954. Jim proudly served in the United States Army and went on to earn degrees in farrier science and accounting. He worked for various places, most notably, McCreary Tire & Rubber, Greensteel, Helen Coal Mine, and lastly, Clymer Municipal Water Service until his retirement in 1997.

His greatest passions were raising and training horses and being an accomplished musician. Jim played saxophone, flute, and guitar in several local bands to include Mark 5, The Ben Geridieu Band, and Hiram & The Walkers.

Jim leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Shirley (Stiles) Miller; four children, Connie (George) McClead of Clymer, Vicky (Robert) Burns of Dunedin, FL, Pamela (Ken) Fishel of Clymer, and Jacquelyn (Mark) Palchesko of Beckley, WVa; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Diane) Miller of Bethel Park; brothers-in-law, Blair E. (Judy) Stiles and Dennis Stiles, all of Brush Valley; sister-in-law, Sharon E. (David) Fox of Clarksburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Jaymie Kaye Miller; a grandson, Jimmy Kershishnik; half-sister, Dolores Miller; his in-laws, Blair M. and Ruby Stiles; brothers-in-law, Ronald Stiles and Donald Rhine; and sisters-in-law, Geraldine Rhine, Betty Stiles and Linda Stiles.

To honor Jim's wishes, all services will be private.
