James H. Macblane's Obituary

James H. MacBlane, 76, of Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Indiana Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in 1938 to Harry and Grace (Kellar) MacBlane in Lucerne Mines. Jim was a member of Divine Destiny Ministries, Indiana. He was a very active member of the church in all aspects. Jim was a retired diesel mechanic with Halliburton for 29 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed going to his camp in Tidioute, fishing, swimming and spending time with his family. He is survived by the love of his life, wife of 54 ½ years Edith "Edie" (Shaffer) MacBlane, Indiana; a son - James H. MacBlane Jr. and wife Debra, McKinney, TX; a daughter - Tammie L. Pifer and husband Scot, Indiana; two grandchildren - Michael J. MacBlane and Ashley A. MacBlane; two sisters - Betty Ann Ibos and husband Steve, OH; Linda Rivera and husband Domingo, VA; a brother and best friend - Harold MacBlane, Home; and numerous brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Allan H. MacBlane, a mother-in-law, Sarah E. Shaffer, and three brothers-in-law. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30 PM, with his daughter and son-in-law - Pastors Tammie and Scot Pifer officiating. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Divine Destiny Ministries, 207 Old Rte 119 South, Indiana, PA 15701.
