James J. Henry's Obituary

James J. " Bub" Henry, 83, of Homer City, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1926 to Kenneth and Alma ( Foster) Henry in Indiana County. Bub attended Barkley Wesleyan Methodist Church. He retired after 36 years as a steel worker from Bethlem Steel. Bub was a veteran of WW II serving in the United States Army. He took great pride in his vegtable garden where he spent many hours tending to, Bub enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his family. Bub is survived by his wife of 62 years Peggy Lou Henry, Homer City, whom he married on November 1, 1947. Three sons, Jim R. and wife, Aurelia, Tom and wife Susan, and Jake, all of Homer City. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, three brothers Mack and wife Mary Lou, Hayes and wife Peg and Bob and Gail, all of Homer City. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, June Burkhardt and Ruth Butler, and a brother Paul Henry. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday with Rev. Rick Markle. officiating.
