James Edward Henley Jr., 70, of Indiana, passed away on Aug. 6, 2025. He was born in Pottstown, on Aug. 16, 1954, to the late James Edward and Lillian Margaret (Burdan) Henley, Sr.

James was a member of the Covenant Church of Pittsburgh. James proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps; he was a retired mental health counselor with U.S. correctional facilities.

He is survived by his brother, Scott Henley, of North Carolina; and sister Sheree Henley, of Reading.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette Henley.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, located at 1111 Wood St., Pittsburgh. The service will be live-streamed on the church's YouTube channel for anyone who cannot attend.
