Obituary

James Walter Davis, age 71, of Indiana, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday March 2, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in 1943 in Johnstown, to Walter David and LaDene Bathgate Davis. Jim was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Geistown, and the VFW Post #1989. He was employed for 38 years for REA first as a lineman, line supervisor, and retired as a superintendent in 2002. Jim enjoyed Dirt Track Racing, Nascar Racing, cars, sports, golf, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Patricia Davis, Indiana, whom he married March 14, 1964; two daughters and one son, Brian Davis and wife Melanie, Winchester, VA; Lisa Bross and husband Jeff, Chardon, OH; Amy Cutts and husband BD, Chipley, FL; four grandchildren, Aidan, Nicholas, Christian, and Emilia; two sisters, Marjorie Davis, Ebensburg; Kathy Kuncelman, Ebensburg; and mans best friend, Holly. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his brother-in-law Gary Kuncelman. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius officiating. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 31 S.
