James Emilio Bicego, 82, of Indiana, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday April 6, 2026. He was born in Indiana on May 25, 1943, to the late Jeano and Linda (Dellafiora) Bicego. He graduated from Apollo High School and attended the Educational Institute of Pittsburgh earning a degree in Drafting. Jim worked for several engineering companies in Pittsburgh and then for the Homer City power plant as an operations shift supervisor prior to his retirement. Jim later delivered medical supplies for Diamond Drug.
Jim was a humble hard-working man, who lived a life not defined by words but by countless small acts of kindness that made a lasting impact on everyone around him. His interests were swimming laps at the YMCA, exercising, reading, sudoku, Notre Dame Football, gardening, and lawn care. His greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, proud father and Pap-Pap to his five grandsons. He was often seen on the sidelines watching his grandsons' sporting events and activities. Jim was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish where he also served in the Knights of Columbus, #1481.
Surviving Jim are his wife of 57 years Bonnie L. (Cichocki) Bicego, daughter Kristi (Tim) Garma of Cranberry Township, son Jim (Monique) Bicego, Jr., of Birmingham, Michigan, grandsons Zachary and Nathan Garma, Sebastian, Crosby, and Sullivan Bicego, a brother Gene (June) Bicego of Indiana, brother-in-law Bob (Cathy) Shafer of Colorado, as well as many cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, John and Jean Cichocki.
Friends will be received by the family on Friday April 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, in the Donahue-Tylinski Funeral Home, Inc. (Formerly Bowser Minich), 500 South Ben Franklin Road, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday April 11, 2026, in St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish. Entombment will follow in St. Bernard Mausoleum.
