Ida McCurdy, age 71, of Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born in 1945 in Rayne Township. to Randall and Arveda Lightcap.

Mrs. McCurdy was employed by SeasonALL Industries for more that 20 years, and also worked for Martin's Grocery and in the cafeteria in the Indiana Area School District.

She enjoyed playing the lottery, bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, as well as time in the family garage.

Surviving are four daughters and one son - Brenda Filler and husband Richard, Shelocta; Karen Fleming and husband David, Shelocta; Sandra McCurdy, Ambridge; Janet Elkin and husband Shaun, Williamsport, David McCurdy, Shelocta; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters-in-law - Leonard Lightcap and wife Sara, Home; Paul Lightcap and wife Nancy, Rochester Mills; Bonnie Lightcap, LA; and Joanne Lightcap, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell in 2007, and five brothers -Robert, Harold, Merle, Roy, and Richard.

Friends will be received at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, on Friday from 1 to 3 and from 7 to 9 P.M. where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon with the Rev. Dennis Marshall officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
