Henrietta L. Hoffman's Obituary

Henrietta L. Hoffman, age 94 of Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

She was born in 1923 in North East to Albert and Hazel Skelley Mann. She married Gilbert Hoffman in 1942 and they had four children. For 35 years she was a Methodist Minister's wife where she and Gil served numerous churches throughout western PA.

Henrietta was a faithful member of the Grace Church, Indiana, and a close friend of Pastor Kathy.

She was a quilt maker and passed those talents onto her three daughters. In her life time she made hundreds of baby quilts and gave them to young couples and friends of hers, especially from Grace United Methodist Church. She also loved to knit sweaters for needy children as gifts. She also loved playing Bridge weekly with her four friends, Lenore, Sara, Eleanor, and Betty. Additionally she enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved playing Dominos, especially with her son-in-law Garry. She was very competitive and always played to win.

She is survived by one son and three daughters, Gil Hoffman and wife Irene, Centerville, MD; Barbara Kimmel and husband Garry, Indiana; Helen Flinn, Roseville, MN; Ann Bragg and husband Rev. Donald Bragg, Parsippany, NJ; six grandchildren; Lori Kimmel, Susan Kimmel Kelly, Robert Kimmel, Shannon Flinn, Joshua Bragg, Zachary Bragg; and six great grandchildren; Lakin Kelly, Willa Kelly, Jocob VanLuven, Sammy VanLuven, Alexa Kimmel, Gavin Kimmel; one sister, Harriet Olis and husband Andy, Grosse Pointe, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband the Rev. Gilbert Hoffman.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 P.M. with Pastor William Blair and Pastor Kathy Mihoerck officiating. Private interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.
