Helen Bonarrigo, age 86, of Indiana, died Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
She was born in 1930 in Sagamore to Andrew and Rose Varcho Hospodar.
Mrs. Bonarrigo was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana.
She was a graduate of Indiana Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at the Indiana Hospital for many years.
Helen was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Thomas Bonarrigo in 1953 and they enjoyed 54 years of marriage before his death in 2007.
She is survived by two daughters and one son - Christine Brewer and husband Joseph, Shelocta; Carol Davies and husband Steven, Lebanon; Thomas Bonarrigo, Jr. and Susan Daigle, Simsbury, CT; eight grandchildren - Joseph Brewer, Jr. and wife Holly, Myersville, MD; Vincent Brewer and wife Lori, St. Leonard, MD; Eric Brewer and wife Beth, Ashburn, VA; LT CMDR Steven Davies, Washington, DC; Kimberly Keever and husband Travis, Spartanburg, SC; Allyson Bonarrigo and fiancé Adam Pinney, Windsor Locks, CT; Andrea Felder and husband Charles, Simsbury, CT; Matthew Bonarrigo, Bloomfield, CT; eight great grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers - Mary Puchalski, Rahway, NJ; Rose Kuhar, Columbus, OH; Edward Hospodar and wife Sally, Fairfax, VA; William Hospodar and wife Margo, Columbus, OH; two sisters-in-law - Margaret Hospodar, Alexandria, VA; Marcey Hospodar, Poland, OH; and by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, three brothers and two sisters - John, Andrew, and Paul Hospodar, Elizabeth Szary, and Dorothy Renosky.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. Interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard Learning Center, or to the Indiana Free Library. The family would like to thank Rose Haven for their compassionate care of Helen.
