Harry Edward Spielman's Obituary

Harry Edward Spielman, age 97, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. He was born 1913 in McKeesport, to Kaspar and Caroline Mueller Spielman. Mr. Spielman was a veteran of WW II, having served in the US Army. Formerly of McKeesport, he owned and operated a grocery store in White Oak for nine years, and retired from the McKeesport Area School District. Harry is survived by his wife Cora Jane (Geisel) Spielman, Indiana; by one son, Harry E. Spielman, Jr., and wife Kathy, Indiana; by one daughter Christine L. Spielman, Indiana; by two grandchildren, Katelin J. Stossel and husband Anthony, Indiana; Nicholas M. Spielman, Indiana; by two great granddaughters, Stella and Scarlett Stossel; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by five brothers and five sisters. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at 11 A.M. at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Indiana. Inurnment will be made in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeport. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Free Library, 845 Philadelphia St., Indiana, PA 15701.
