Obituary

Harry C. Moreland, lll, age 64, of Indiana, died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in 1948 in Oil City, to Harry C. Moreland, Jr. and Helen Keating Moreland. Harry was a member of the BPOE Lodge #931, Indiana, the Red Barn Sportsman Club, and attended the Zion Lutheran Church. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the US Army. He was employed as a welder for EME at the Homer City Power Plant for 41 years before retirement in 2012. Harry enjoyed hunting, woodworking, spending time with family and friends, vacationing at the beach, and was a huge Steelers fan. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Cooke) Moreland; his daughter Kelly Evans and husband Jonathan, Hillsborough, N.J.; two sons Stephen Moreland and wife Lisa, Southlake, Texas; Craig Moreland and wife Nicole, Gibsonia; stepchildren, Jody Riddle and husband Rich, Christopher and Dave Johnston, all of lndiana; nine grandchildren, Alexander, Rachelle, and Nathan Evans, Hillsborough, N.J.; Madison and Mia Moreland, Southlake, Texas; Megan, Richie, and Jordan Riddle; Walker Johnston, all of lndiana; two sisters; Dorothy Bohrer, Prospect; Carol Solomon, Lower Burrell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and two brothers-in-law, Jim Bohrer and Bill Solomon. Friends will be received on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Indiana, with the Rev. Julie Walz officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery. Graveside military services will be provided by the VFW Post #1989
