Harry J. Huffman's Obituary

Harry James "Jim" Huffman, 72, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born in 1943 in Newark, NJ to Clyde E. and Marguerite L. (Grosse) Huffman. After serving in the US Air Force, he became a truck driver for Selmek Trucking until his retirement in 2006. He also worked as a mechanic for many years. He attended church in the Altoona area. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jim was known for his sense of humor, and loved to make people smile. Jim is survived by six siblings - Thomas C. and wife Virginia, Roanoke, VA; Ronald W. and wife Phyllis, The Villages, FL; Robert E. and wife Carolyn, Saltsburg; Joyce M. McCoy and husband Raymond, Marion Center; Eva J. Erwin, Hillsdale; Marjorie A. Letso and husband Matthew, Smicksburg; and numerous nieces and newphews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Shirley Huffman, a brother-in-law Robert Erwin, a stepfather John Balls and a niece Tracy Huffman. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 at the funeral home with his brother Ronald Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. www.bowserminich.com
