Harold K. Hill age 96, of Washington, PA, formerly of Venice, FL, Canton, OH, and Indiana, PA, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home in Washington, PA.
He was born in 1921 in Home, PA, to David R. and Hannah Dovie Hill.
Mr. Hill faithfully attended and was a member of the First Christian Church, Washington, and was also a member of the LOOM Lodge #22 in Washington.
He was employed as a sales representative for Sperry New Holland for 20 years before his retirement in 1982. He resided in Washington since 1999 having lived in Florida and Ohio prior to his move to Washington.
Harold enjoyed walking, birding, writing, and cycling.
He is survived by one daughter and one son, Linda Hamilton, Washington; Kenneth J. Hill and wife Carol, Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Todd Hill, Dena Schmid, Jessica Hill, Thomas Steele, and Wendy Petronka. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, Isabela and Evan Petronka, Collin and Carly Schmid, Paige and Bailey Hill, Derek, Shawn, and Jason Steele; one sister and one brother, Vida Holt, Middleburg; David Hill, Lancaster; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Isabel Salerno Hill in 1973, one grandson Douglas Kenneth Hill, two great grandsons, Thomas Alan Steele, Jr., and Joshua Steele, and by four sisters, Winifred Pontius, Miriam Ross, Florence Painter, Connie McCall.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 A.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 A.M. with his nephew Ted Holt officiating. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
