Harold T. Cole's Obituary

Harold Twigg Cole, 95, of Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. He was born in Dysart, Cambria County, on January 29, 1931, to the late Charles and Mildred (Kline) Cole.

After graduating from high school, Harold served our country in the United States Army, he then spent his career as a maintenance supervisor for the Conemaugh Power Plant retiring in 1991.

After retirement, Harold volunteered for various nonprofits including Habitat for Humanity and the Indiana County Food Bank. He also served as an usher in St. Bernards Parish.

Harold is survived by his daughters Cathy (Tom) Bland of Oakmont; Ann Cole of San Diego, CA; sons Mark (Tammie Cooper) Cole of Jacksonville, FL and Andrew (Laurie) Cole of The Woodlands, TX; six grandchildren; Krista Bland, Nicholas (Angela) Bland, Nathan Beard, Dr. Kate (Dr. Mike Lallemand) Cole, Kyle Cole, and Connor Cole, one great grandchild Louie; and one sister Patricia Swope of Altoona, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife Theresa (Krug) Cole on December 10, 2023, as well as his siblings, sister Helen O'Leary, and brothers Robert, Donald, James, and Raymond Cole.

Friends will be received by the family on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, One Cathedral Square, Altoona, PA 16601, everyone is asked to MEET AT THE CHURCH. Private burial will be Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
