Obituary

Greg Swentosky, age 56, of Homer City, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1958 in Indiana, to Anthony and Mary Jane Chutorich Swentosky. Greg was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana. He was employed by Handyman for Hire, co-owner of Philly Street Café, and previously as a manager for various hotels and restaurants in the area. He had also worked for SeasonALL Industries, Bio-Control, and Intersearch. He enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, pets, and learning. Greg is survived by his wife Leslie Jones Swentosky, Homer City; one daughter Jocelyn Niedziela and husband Andrew, Homer City; his mother, Mary Jane of Homer City; one brother Tony Swentosky and wife Sue, Billings, MT; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A celebration of Greg's life will be held on Saturday at 11 am at Grace United Methodist Church Indiana, with Pastor Kathy Mihoerck officiating. Private interment will be made at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Rd., Indiana, PA 15701, or to the National Stroke Assoc., www.stroke.org.
