Glenn S. Elliott Jr.'s Obituary

Glenn S. Elliott, Jr. age 72, of Home went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 25, 2011 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in 1938 in New Alexandria to Glenn and Olive Shetler Elliott. Glenn and his family owned and operated Marion Center Supply, Inc. since 1968 He was a member of the Old Mahoning Baptist Church, Home, pastored by Micah McMillen whom he had great respect. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #313, the Indiana County Shrine Club, and the Altoona Consistory. Glenn's family was his motivation for living and working, and a great source of love. Surviving are his wife Edith Goldstrohm Elliott, whom he married January 1, 1960; two daughters, Penny Wallace and husband Calvin, Home; Debbie Griffith and husband Lynn, Home; one son Bill and wife Carrie Matty Elliott, Home; nine grandchildren, Jesse Wallace, Tiffany Wallace and fianc Dave Yackuboskey; Garrett Wallace; Isaac Griffith and wife Nicole; Caleb Griffith and wife Kayla; Rebecca Griffith; Adam, Aaron, and Glenda Elliott; and a much anticipated great-granddaughter Aubrey Lynne Griffith to be born in July to Caleb and Kayla. He is also survived by two sisters, Connie Edwards and husband Fred, Marion Center; Linda Askins, Home, and numerous nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 2 P.M. at the Old Mahoning Baptist Church, Home, with Pastor Micah McMillen officiating. Interment will be private. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, PO Box 403, Indiana, Pa 15701, or to the Old Mahoning Baptist Church Mission Fund, 5225 Mahoning Rd., Home, Pa 15747.
