Obituary

Gladys D. Hilty, 86 of Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Rustic Manor Personal Care Home. She was born to Harvey A. and Hazel G. (Lester) Duffey in Greensburg. Gladys was of the Methodist Faith. She retired in 1990 from First Commonwealth Bank, where she worked for 25 years as a bank teller. She enjoyed camping throughout Pennsylvania with her husband and family. Gladys also liked to crochet, sew, play cards and bowl. She was an avid #24 Jeff Gordon and NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching the Pirates. Gladys will be best remembered for her great sense of humor and her ability to make everyone feel at home. She resided at Rustic Manor for the past eight years. The family would like to express their gratitude for the extraordinary care their mother received from Deb and her staff, especially Mary and Lois. She is survived by two daughters and a son, Linda McBryar Feulmer and husband Jerry, Kittanning; Rick Hilty and fiancé Sherry Dellaposta, Lucernemines; Robin Orr and husband Mark, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Melissa Goble, Denise Burkovich, Jeffery Feulmer, Bethany Orr, Nick Hilty, Jason Hilty, Heather Warren and Alicia Hilty, 11 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene Hilty in 2012, a brother Harvey A. Duffey Jr.; and a sister Shirley R. Duncan. Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
