Obituary

Gladys Kathryn (Craig) Adamson, 70, of Indiana, PA, was carried into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, February 9. 2014, following a well-fought battle with Parkinson's disease. She was a resident of St Andrew's Village. She was born in 1943 to the late Art and Martha Millen Craig in Indiana, PA. Gladys was a member of Shelocta Community Presbyterian Church, Shelocta, PA. She was employed by Indiana Open MRI, Bouma Chiropractic Clinic and the IUP Co-op bookstore during her working years. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, baking and spending time with her family. Most important, Gladys was a devoted wife, mom and grandma. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Howard "Joe" Adamson, two sons, Ronald and wife Rita of Indiana, Brian of Blue Springs, MO, two grandchildren, Kathryn and Jeremy, three brothers Jerry Craig and wife Pat, Jim Craig and wife Sarah, Ralph Craig and wife Patty, all of Indiana, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom were important in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 A.M. with Rev. Greg Golden officiating. Interment will be made in the Shelocta Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shelocta Community Presbyterian Church, 182 S. Ridge Rd, Shelocta, PA 15774.
