Obituary

Gertrude R. Gustafson, age 78, of Indiana, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in 1935 in Oil City, to George and Anna Woss Kaweski. Gert was a member of St. Thomas More University Parish. She was born and raised in Oil City and graduated from high school there in 1952. She was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Gert enjoyed baking cookies, cooking for everyone, and Polka dancing. Gertrude is survived by her husband of 60 years, Russell M "Gus" Gustafson, Indiana; three daughters and two sons, Georgia Ann Simpson and husband Robert, Sligo; Karen Pividori and husband Kevin, Blairsville; Ann Milazzo and husband Christian, Humble, TX; Ronald Gustafson and wife Peggy, Germantown, MD; Raymond Gustafson and wife Tammy, Glendale, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Jamie and Jennifer Simpson, Bobbie Simpson Freeman, and Jeremy and Dominica Simpson, Rachel and Ryan Gustafson, Sara and Curt Scott, Melanie Gustafson, Benjamin, Brody, Cameron and Shane Milazzo; seven great grandchildren, Denon and Madilyn Simpson, Nicholas and David Simpson, Kyler and Kinsley Freeman, Caleb Soctt, who lovingly called her "Baci", one sister, Cecilia Laniewicz, Snellville, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by three brothers, Walter, Eugene, and Richard Kaweski. Funeral services will be private and have been entrusted to the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
