Obituary

Geraldine B. Strong, age 98, of Indiana, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away July 8, 2013 at St. Andrew's Village. She was born in 1915 in Sykesville, to Charles and Maude Peace Brigham. Mrs. Strong was employed for 45 years with various office responsibilities for Har-Land Associates, Pittsburgh, retiring in 1977. Gerry loved to gamble, play cards, crochet, and craft making endeavors. She will be missed by everyone. Geraldine is survived by her nephew Jack Grube and wife Dorothy, Ft. Myers, FL; and the following grand nieces and nephews, Debbie Grube, Indiana; Jack Grube and wife Carla, Shelocta; David Grube and wife Marcie, Indiana; Gary Grube and wife Debbie, Indiana; Jeffrey Grube and wife Ruth, Punxsutawney; Minta Marie and husband Frank, Buffalo, NY; by her niece by marriage, Lois Grube, Punxsutawney; and by many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband William L. Strong in 1995, by three sisters, Wilda Stoey, Faye Grube, Helene Brigham, and by two nephews Robert Grube and William Stoey. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Andrew's Villag on Sunday July 28th at 1 P.M. with the Rev. Jerry hoch officiating. Private inurnment will be made in Oakland Cemetery. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
