George F. Rolling's Obituary

George Francis "Frannie" Rolling, age 92, of Indiana, died Sunday, 30, 2013 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana. He was born in 1920 in Seward, to Fred and Nellie Otto Rolling. Mr. Rolling was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana; the BPOELKS Lodge #931, and a life-member of the American Legion Post #141, and the Seward VFW Post #7022. A veteran of WWII, he served in the US Air Force. He was employed by Penelec first in Warren, transferred to Johnstown, and finally worked in Indiana as a Draftsman in the engineering department for 32 years retiring in 1981. He enjoyed watching football, especially Notre Dame. He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes and spending time with family at camp. George is survived by two sons and one daughter, Edward F. and wife Vivian, Indiana; Gloria A. Tanner and husband Wade, Indiana; Michael J. and wife Kimberly, Spotsylvania, VA; nine grandchildren, Lisa Fisanich, Tara Cook, Marissa Rolling, Adam, Justine, Timothy and Garrett Tanner, Kylie and Nathan Rolling; five great grandchildren, Maddux, Taylor, Paige, and Mason Fisanich, and Jaiden Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Mabel Clara (Weber) Rolling in 1977, and by the following siblings, Harold, Fred, Charles, Donald, Clement, and Walter Rolling, Mary Ritenour, Verna Kendig, and Eleanor Dahlstrom. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Federline the celebrant. Interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery. Graveside military services will be provided by the VFW Post #1989.
