Gary L. Pellatiro, 75, of Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Born in Johnstown on January 12, 1951, he was the son of the late William and Leola (Reed) Pellatiro.
Well known for his newsboy hat, Gary enjoyed visiting with his Johnstown friends, sharing classic Italian food, and golfing. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his children, Jennifer and Jake, and their families. He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren, Mia, Finn, and Loyal, and he especially enjoyed attending their activities. To close friends and family, he was affectionately known as G-Pop.
Gary owned and operated Pellatiro Masonry in Indiana for 45 years. Over the course of his career, he proudly built, remodeled, and repaired many buildings and homes throughout Indiana County. He was a member of the National Association of Home Builders and Grace Church.
Gary’s memory will be cherished by his beloved children, Jennifer (Tom) Engler of Gibsonia and Jake (Sarah) Pellatiro of New Kensington; and his three grandchildren, Mia, Finn, and Loyal.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Pellatiro; three brothers, Chuck, Bill, and Bob Pellatiro; and two sisters, Natalie Kaltenbaugh and Mary Elaine Bendinelli.
Friends are invited to celebrate Gary’s life on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. at Donahue-Tylinski Funeral Home, Inc. (formerly Bowser-Minich). Private burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, South Fork.
