Gail R. Henry's Obituary

Gail R. Henry, age 61, of Homer City, (Buffington Twp.), died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. She was born in 1948 in Cambria Co. William and Hulda Stiles Hill. Mrs. Henry was a member of the Barkley Wesleyan Methodist Church, where she was active in many church activities including various church missions. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, crafting, crocheting, cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandson. She had served as tax collector in Buffington Twp. for the past 24 years. Gail is survived by her husband Robert A. Henry, Homer City; two daughters, Tammy Besz and husband Matthew, Kempton; Ali Henry-Bacha, Indiana; one grandson Zachariah Noah; by her father and step-mother, William and Judy Hill, Strongstown; by one brother and three sisters, Fred Hill, Nanty Glo; Marilyn Brancato and husband Charles, Tonawanda, NY; Johnnakay Rice and husband Randy, Homer City; Valarie Speedy and husband Matthew, Clarksburg; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, and by two brothers, David and Paul Hill. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Barkley Wesleyan Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Markel officiating. Interment will be made in the Brush Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1165 Philadelphia St., Indiana, PA 15701.
