Fred S. Ziegmond, Jr.'s Obituary

Fred S. Ziegmond, Jr., age 88, of Indiana, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Rose Haven Personal Care Home, Indiana. He was born in 1927 in McIntyre, to Fred S. Ziegmond, Sr. and Mary Rostis Ziegmond. Fred was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, a proud member of the UMWA, and a former member of the Young Twp. Lions Club. He was employed by Babcok and Wilcox Nuclear Plant in Apollo for 10 years, and at the Iseling Preparation Plant for many years before retiring in 1990. After retirement he spent his time traveling across the country to all 50 states and throughout Europe. He also enjoyed gardening and reading. Fred is survived by his wife of 66 years Violet Jane Madison Ziegmond, Indiana, his son-in-law James F. Wargo, Oakmont; two grandsons, James M. Wargo, Nanuet, NY; Daniel J. Wargo and wife Erin, New Hampton, NY; two great granddaughters, Natalie and Reagan Wargo; one brother Karl R. Ziegmond and wife Peggy, Elizabeth, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter J. Renee Wargo in 2005, three sisters, Betty Baroni, Eleanor Konkol, and infant Rosemary. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, with the Rev. Fr. William Lechnar the celebrant. Entombment will be made in the Twin Valley Mausoleum, Delmont. Memorial contributions may be made to ICCAP, 827 Water, Apt. 101, Indiana, PA 15701.
