He was born in 1934 in Spangler to Frank and Pauline Wisiewski Olenchick.
Mr. Olenchick was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the US Navy aboard the USS Hickock and attended many Navy reunions for years.
He was co-owner of "Frank's Flowers" with his wife Donna and three sons. He was also employed by Stiffler's Nursery in Pine Flats for 25 years.
Frank enjoyed chewing snuff, shooting dice, and football. The family requests that friends and family bring a pair of dice for Frank's casket.
He is survived by three sons, Barry, Indiana; Danny and wife Jennifer, Blairsville; Terry and wife Kelley, Indiana; four grandchildren, Tressa, Kendra, Avery, and Kira; one brother and one sister, Joanne Barno and husband Joe, Cleveland, OH; Raymond Olenchick and wife Mary, Nothern Cambria; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Donna Byrne Olenchick in 2011, a brother Bernard Olenchick, and a sister Connie Hanyok.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church. Interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
