Florence E. "Flossie" Haug, age 88, of Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Moorehead House Assisted Living, Indiana.
She was born in 1927 in New Castle, PA, to Carl C. and Ada Price Haug.
Ms. Haug was a member of the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church where she had been active with many activities including welcoming new members and visitors, several classes, and Wednesday Morning Prayer Group.
She was first employed as a secretary in New Castle Schools, and has also worked for 25 years as a secretary in the Presidents office at IUP until her retirement in 1989. She has resided in Indiana since 1965.
Flossie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, organizing outings and holidays. She also enjoyed attending theater, concerts, and various productions at IUP.
Surviving are the following nieces and nephews - Deborah Frankoff and husband Ronald, Indiana; Raymond C. Anderson and wife Jane, The Villages, FL; Cheryl Sorensen, The Villages, FL; John Blank and wife Susan, Jeanette; Karin Boyer and husband Fred, Lake Frederick, VA; Christine Wiggins and husband Robert, The Villages, FL; David Blank and wife Sandy, Ellwood City; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters - Jean Blank, Estella Anderson, Helen Bolinger, and Ann Mae Jameson.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Indiana, with the Rev. Richard Hurley officiating. Private interment will be made in the Castle View Burial Park, New Castle. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
